Elizabeth Perry

Liz made an incredible start to her ODI career in 2010 and is an exciting player for women’s cricket in the future.

Originating from Wanganui, Liz is a middle order batsman who has the ability to clear the boundary by a long way. When’s she not pummelling the oppositions attacks, the 24 year-old can be put to use as a decent right-arm medium pace bowler.

Liz played her debut of both the 50 over and Twenty20 formats in the Quadrangular series last year. The series was a huge success. In her ODI debut Liz smashed 70 runs, putting the world on notice. She didn’t stop there. In the Twenty20 leg Liz ended the tournament as the top run scorer - not a bad introduction to international cricket.

One member of a strong Wellington Blaze team, she will be looking to lock down a spot in the White Ferns. After the start she has already given herself, it would be a major surprise if she failed to do so.
