Breaking into the national side at the age of 21, Frances has a long and exciting career in front of her.
Frances is a solid right handed opening batsman, whose patience and maturity at the crease is well beyond her years. She is also a dangerous off spin bowler and has been a star for her domestic side, the Canterbury Magicians. With a batting average of 33 and bowling economy of just over three, Frances started her domestic cricket career with a bang.
It didn’t go unnoticed and behind a particularly strong 2011 season with both bat and ball, she was selected to play for the Ferns in the ODI and Twenty20 series against Australia in the prestigious Rose Bowl.
Since her domestic debut when she was 17, Frances has made remarkable improvements in all facets of her game. Opposing teams will be scared by the thought of how good this young talent may become in the future.
