Hamish Rutherford

Hamish is an exciting hard hitting left handed batsman, born and bred in Dunedin and son of former New Zealand Captain Ken Rutherford.

He Likes to score quickly and has all the shots.

Hamish debuted for Otago in the 2008/09 season, making a name for himself with some great performances at the top of the order in the twenty20 campaign. Hamish played both games for Otago at the Champions League in 2009.

He was also a  member of the New Zealand Under 19 squad at the 2008 world cup.

Without a doubt Hamish is a player to watch in coming seasons.

Craig Cumming took home the Cricketer of the Year Award for his fantastic season where he scored 784 runs at 65.33 in the State Championship, 421 runs at 70.16 in the State Shield and 121 runs at 40.33 in the State Twenty20.
