Derek has performed with distinction both with the bat and leading the fielding unit from behind the stumps. An outstanding 2010-11 season with both the gloves and willow saw him named as Otago’s Cricketer of the Year.

Derek is one of the countries most promising keepers and was recently named in the NZA team for their tour of Australia. A player with a fantastic work ethic who will continue to put pressure on for an opportunity with the BLACKCAPS.
