Best bowling: 6 for 70 v Central Stags, 2010-11 (First-Class)
Australian-born opening bowler Andrew Lamb was called into the Firebirds squad at the start of the 2008-09 First-Class season as cover for Mark Gillespie, Iain O’Brien and Grant Elliott who were all unavailable on BLACKCAPS duty.
He consequently made his debut against the Canterbury Wizards and has been a mainstay of the squad ever since. Opening the bowling for the Firebirds in the first match of the 2010-11 season, Lamb took a career best 6 for 70 off 26 overs.
He was brought up in Bathurst in New South Wales and played Sydney grade cricket for Manly.
