Off-spinning all-rounder Anna Dodd returned to captain the Wellington Blaze in 2008/09 after missing the previous season after having a baby.

Dodd is a vastly experienced member of the team, having made her domestic debut in 1995, and proved her worth to the side by capturing 19 wickets in the State League competition and adding many valuable runs down the order.

Dodd has played 31 One Day Internationals for the White Ferns between 2001/02-2006/07.
