The Wellington U15 Girls are champions of New Zealand having defeated Auckland in the final of the Wanganui U15 tournament held from 8-11 January .
The side lost just one game over the three days, to Manawatu U17 Girls, and also had two players win separate awards. Floss Marshall was named wicket-keeper of the tournament and Emma Fulbrook won the Player of the Tournament award.
Cricket Wellington Director of Cricket Robbie Kerr coached the side and said “This is a great result for Female cricket in Wellington, with the blaze winning the domestic women’s Twenty20 final against Canterbury we are on a roll in Female cricket”
Christine Watson managed the team and Cricket Wellington thank all the parents for their support.
