Rakitha Weerasundara (Johnsonville) and Brett Johnson (Hutt Districts) have both been picked to attend the final training camp for the New Zealand Under 19 side.
The camp is being held at the NZC High Performance Centre, Lincoln University, Canterbury from the 8th to 13th of October. It is part of the build up for the 2014 World Cup to be held in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) from 7 February to 2 March 2014.
Weerasundara has had two very successful series for the NZ 19S against Australia and India this year.
Johnson has just returned from a three month playing experience in Sri Lanka where he has developed his ability to play spin. He is also bowling some very useful legspin which along with his brilliant fielding make him a genuine contender for the final squad.
The World Cup Squad will be announced in January 2014.
