Victoria University Cricket Club Past Players Day this Sunday

The Victoria University Cricket Club is holding its Past Players Day on Sunday 26 February at Kelburn Park. This year the club has decided to do something a little different by holding an Old Boys Twenty20 match against the current senior squad, which they plan to make a traditional fixture on the club calendar.

The Old Boys team for Sunday is made up of the very successful mid nineties side that won the first two editions of the Intercity Wilkinson Pearce Cup and won the National Club Championships three years in a row. The side is:  Colin Owens, Graham Murray, Ross Bond, Robbie Kerr, Scott Golder, Andrew Crombie, Luke Woods, Duncan Murray, Nic Preddle, Tim Crooks and one more to be confirmed.

The match starts 1.30pm. Following the cricket, there will be a BBQ and drinks in the clubrooms as well as a special PowerPoint presentation of the club’s proud history.

The club invites all past players, administrators, scorers and umpires to come down to Kelburn Park on Sunday afternoon to view the match, enjoy the refreshments and share stories.
