Action Indoor Sports, who recently announced a commercial partnership with New Zealand Cricket, is the new sponsor of the New Zealand women's cricket team. They will be sponsoring the team during their up-coming home series, the ICC Twenty20 World Cup and the winter tour of England.
The White Ferns return home after spending a month in Australia and will compete for victory in the Rose Bowl series. Their first game is a Twenty20 International on Friday at Westpac Stadium.
Action Indoor Sports Managing Director, Mark Cini is thrilled to be backing the White Ferns. "We are already actively involved with a number of the White Ferns with indoor cricket and training programmes," he said. "But this sponsorship means we strengthen that bond with not only the team but with New Zealand Cricket collectively.
"The future looks bright for the White Ferns and we want to be there with them every step of a journey."
New Zealand Cricket CEO Justin Vaughan is delighted to have a sponsor who is so passionate about the success of the White Ferns. "We are delighted to welcome Action Indoor Sports into our family of sponsors,"
he said. "The White Ferns are one of the best women's teams in the world and it is very positive to have a sponsor on board who recognises the talent and dedication these players bring to the world stage."
Action Indoor Sports will also have naming rights for the 2010/11 women's domestic competitions.
