Nelson Cricket Association is seeking applications for the position of Community Cricket Coordinator to manage primary school initiatives, secondary school support, club assist, women’s cricket, coach education, national school competitions and community cricket initiatives in the Nelson Cricket region. The position is based at Saxton Stadium/Oval Nelson. The position will report to the General Manager of Nelson Cricket Association and liaise closely with the Central Districts Association.
The successful applicant will have:
- A passion for cricket
- A high level of integrity and credibility within the game or sporting community
- An influential personality with a high degree of self-motivation
- A willingness to be judged on results
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Sports management or coaching qualifications preferred
- Understanding of core coaching principles
- Excellent planning, organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multi task and complete projects under changing conditions
- Previous experience in facilitating the development of grass roots to high performance cricket
- Excellent interpersonal skills
