McGlashan leads Hinds to victory

Sara McGlashan’s unbeaten century led State Central Hinds to a four-wicket victory over State Canterbury Magicians at Palmerston North.

The State League champions chased down Canterbury’s 213 with four balls to spare, on the back of McGlashan’s 111.

Kendra Cocksedge (41) shared a 103-run stand with the White Ferns batsman, while Emma Campbell led the Canterbury attack with three for 41.

Haidee Tiffen had top scored for Canterbury with 78, the Magicians using up their full allocation of overs with three wickets in hand.

Mandy Godliman went without scoring in the second over of the match, but Maria Fahey (41) put on 87 with Tiffen to helped record a competitive target.
