Central Districts Cricket Association is seeking a motivated and driven person for the role of Devon Hotel Central Stags Team Coach.
The purpose of the role is to achieve the best possible performance from the Central Stags in the three national domestic competitions – the Plunket Shield, the HRV Cup and the Ford Trophy. The side has had success in recent years and is looking for someone to continue this, and take the side to the next step by adding consistency to the team’s performance during the playing season.
The Team Coach will be responsible for development of team programmes for the season including plans for preparation and playing. Getting the best out of players and the team is paramount and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate previous experience in developing elite players, including full use of analysis technology.
The successful candidate will need to understand the challenges that Central Districts faces geographically and the impact of this around planning and communication. Working with the Director of Cricket and the Stags Assistant Coach / Manager, the Team Coach will be responsible for the smooth transition of players into domestic cricket, so that they can perform, and continue to develop their game.
