White Ferns batting star Sara McGlashan's latest diary entry from the ICC World Twenty20.
Diary entry five
Well Suki's poem has filled you in on the last few days.
It was great to get through the pool matches unbeaten with players having good performances with the bat and ball.
We travelled up to Nottingham and managed to catch the end of the BLACKCAPS fielding then the whole batting innings.
On arrival we felt quite important with security ushering us up to the executive committee viewing area. Well these were prime seats looking straight down the wicket which was neat when Malinga bowled.
What a great way to spend the afternoon watching cricket in the sun. Unfortunately the guys didn't win but I was quite stoked to be able to watch my brother play. It would have been really cool if they had managed to make the semis and play after us but it was not to be.
Training today at the Lady Bay nets was cut short due to rain so we headed to Trent Bridge to drop off our bags in the alternative dressing rooms seen the guys will be in the main ones. They are quite large and Priesty and I have managed to get a good area over looking the ground which we have really made feel homely with a portable wardrobe and shoe rack.
Well not much other news – our future is in our own hands on Thursday so it will either be off to London or home on Friday. Let’s hope it is to London – We can’t come home just yet....haven't even got a tan!
Thanks for all the messages of support and we will be doing our very best tomorrow.
