From 2-3 April, the NZ Blind Cricket Association and hosts Manukau South Blind Sports Club held its 4th annual Kiwikiti tournament.
This competition brought together two teams of enthusiastic players from various parts of the country, - all aiming to be part of the winning side.
This tournament was decided in a best of three 20/20 series, with all three games tightly fought and decided in the latter stages of each respective match.
With both teams squaring the series at one win each, the final was tipped and would prove to be a thriller with "Team Blue" winning the final by 9 runs over "Team Red".
Kiwikiti is an initiative dreamt up by passionate players of this sport to showcase the sport in a fun yet competitive environment.
Donna McCaskill (Current NZ Rep) said that this competition was successful in that it continued to define why this format was put together.
Thanks to the Auckland Umpires Association for continuing to support this initiative.
