From Friday 2 April to Monday 5 April 2010, blind and vision impaired cricket players from various parts of the country will converge to South Auckland to participate in a T20 competition known as "Kiwikiti".
The "Kiwikiti" concept was dreamt up by some enthusiastic blind cricketers with the word being derived from the Samoan translation of cricket, 'Kiwikiti'.
This tournament plays a dual role of providing a competitive and a fun environment for young and old, novice and the experienced. Hosts, Manukau South Blind Sports Club, and the NZ Blind Cricket Association has proudly brought this event to the blind community and their supporters for the past four years, - each year bringing memorable moments and great highlights.
Manukau South and NZ Blind Cricket Association President, Daniel Te'o, said that this tournament has continued to bring positive things for the sport of blind cricket and it can only get better.
The tournament will be held at Kohuora Park, Station Road Papatoetoe, Auckland. For more information, contact Donna McCaskill on email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
