More home magic from Canterbury

Another strong outing from State Canterbury Magicians assured the State League champions maintained their 100% start to the season.

In-form State Wellington Blaze were the latest visitors to QEII Park but they left empty handed, going down by 97 runs.

Mandi Godliman struck 87 as the home side made 258 for eight from 50 overs. Maria Fahey struck 62 in support, with Amber Little taking two wickets for 58 runs.

Beth McNeil recorded fine figures of three for 25 off 10 overs with three maidens as Wellington were dismissed for 164. Rebecca Steele took 3-25.
