Barlow extends Stags stay

Graham Barlow has been reappointed as State Central Stags coach for another two years.

The former Middlesex and England batsman led the Stags to the State Championship title and State Shield Final last season.

Barlow was also instrumental in five of the Stags players - , , , and - earning New Zealand Cricket contracts for 2006/07.

“Graham has built a team culture that allows the players to perform consistently in both first class and one day cricket," read a statement from the Central Districts board.

“Central Districts looks to Graham to build on the success of 2005/6 and develop a Stags team to be competitive in all forms of the game.”
