New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has passed on its sympathies to the bereaved family and friends of former All Black and rugby administrator Jock Hobbs, who passed away yesterday.
David White, CEO of NZC, conveyed a message of condolence to the Hobbs’ family.
“Jock was admired for his contribution to sport, firstly as a rugby player and then for his work with the NZRFU.
“Most New Zealanders know Jock was a talented All Black and astute administrator but he was also a handy cricketer in his younger days.
“He is someone everyone in New Zealand sport looked up to and he will be dearly missed.
“On behalf of the family of cricket, I offer our sincere condolences to the Hobbs’ family and all those dear to him.”
