State Central Hinds completed a comprehensive 67-run win over State Wellington Blaze to earn a place in the State League final.
CD completed their second triumph in two days over the capital side to take their place against State Canterbury Magicians in Christchurch.
The victory came despite an impressive haul of four wickets for 17 runs from Wellington’s Amanda Green, which helped dismiss the visitors to 152 all out in 48.5 overs at Wanganui’s Victoria Park.
But the Wellington reply was never allowed to challenge by some consistent bowling from the CD attack, including Abby Burrows, who took two wickets in consecutive balls and conceded only five runs in six overs.
Wellington were all out for 86 within 37 overs, leaving the Hinds to celebrate a shot at the title.
