Thirteen awards are up for grabs at tonight’s ANZ New Zealand Cricket Awards in a celebration of cricketing excellence.
A number of development awards announced earlier in the year will also be handed out during the ceremony held at The Pullman Hotel in Auckland.
Based on the 2011-12 season the awards take into account exceptional performances by players and the contribution of cricket volunteers and administrators.
The winners are decided by an independent selection panel headed by former New Zealand Cricket President and selector, Don Neely along with former BLACKCAP and current SKY Television commentator, Ian Smith and veteran Radio Sport commentator, Bryan Waddle.
Eric Young will host the event, with SKY producing a highlights package that will be shown at a later date.
The awards can be followed on Twitter using hashtag #ANZawards and the NZC website, http://www.blackcaps.co.nz/, will be updated throughout the evening.
