Second Rose Bowl match abandoned

The second One Day International match in the Rose Bowl Series between Australia and the White Ferns has been abandoned without a ball being bowled due to wet weather at Blacktown International Sportspark, Sydney.

The umpires made repeated inspections before deciding the conditions were unfit for play.

It is the second consecutive game to fall foul of the weather after Wednesday’s match was also washed out.

The team’s will be hoping for better luck when they play the third, and now deciding, Rose Bowl match on Sunday.
