The run rate required soon crept to almost 7.00, but a 128 run partnership between Kedar Jadhav (57) and A L Maneria (69) steadied the ship, before the pair were removed by an Anton Devcich run out and Scott Kuggelijn strike to put the pressure back on India A.
With three overs to go it was anyone’s game, with India A needing 25 with three wickets left, but 18 runs conceded in a Scott Kuggelijn over put the home team in control, passing New Zealand A’s total with four balls to spare, finishing on 291/8 and winning by two wickets.
Mark Gillespie finished with 3/34, while Scott Kuggelijn, Doug Bracewell, Corey Anderson and Ish Sodhi all picked up a wicket each.
