Northern Districts have cruised to a comfortable seven wicket win over Wellington in their 50 over match at the Under-18 tournament in Lincoln.
Northern were lead to victory by opening batsmen Thomas MacRury who was sadly run out on 98, but he had already done the damage.
Northern opted to bat first and started fantastically by reducing Wellington to 24 for four.
However in-form batsmen Henry Walsh single-handedly turned it around for his side by making 96 from 107 balls.
The tail helped him to lift Wellington to a very respectable 204 all out from 47.2 overs.
In reply it was all too easy for Wellington who only needed 45.2 overs to secure their win.
Thomas MacRury was fantastic making 98 and was assisted by the incredible Anish Desai who was again successful with an unbeaten 52.
Only three wickets were lost in the chase and Northern had their victory.
It was a valiant effort by Walsh and his team, but Northern were just too good.
