The Gillette Cup began in 1990 and is among the longest-running competitions in secondary school sport. Many of our stars have made their name in this tournament, with 45 cricketers playing first class cricket, and 22 representing the BLACKCAPS - so far.
Special thanks go to Gillette NZ Ltd, a long standing supporter of secondary school cricket in New Zealand.
Preliminary Gillette Cup rounds are played within the Major Associations on a knockout format. The Gillette Cup Finals are played in round robin format at the New Zealand Cricket High Performance facilities in Lincoln, Christchurch.
Final Points after Round Five (12 December 2014): Christchurch Boys' High School 10; King's College 8; Hutt International Boys and St Paul's Collegiate 4; Nelson College and King's High School 2.
