Debbie Hockley – President

Appointed NZC President: 2016

Former WHITE FERNS captain and International Cricket Council Hall of Famer Debbie Hockley has been elected the first female president in New Zealand Cricket’s 122-year history.

Ms Hockley, nominated for the position by Canterbury Cricket and ratified by members at New Zealand Cricket’s Annual Meeting in Christchurch today, will serve as the organisation’s president for the next three years.
 
She replaces outgoing president Stephen Boock.

Geoff Allott

Appointed to NZC Board in 2013

A former New Zealand player, Geoff Allott is the Chief Executive of Quality New Zealand Ltd and the former General Manager Cricket for New Zealand Cricket. He has a background in marketing, finance, and banking, and has also served on the board of Canterbury Cricket..

Greg Barclay

Appointed to NZC Board in 2012

Greg Barclay has been a director of New Zealand Cricket since 2012 and is currently NZC’s appointment to the board of the International Cricket Council (“ICC”). He was a director of Cricket World Cup 2015 and is a former board member and chairman of Northern Districts Cricket. Greg is an Auckland based commercial lawyer and an experienced company director holding board positions with various New Zealand and Australian companies.

Neil Craig

Appointed to NZC Board in 2013

An experienced business leader and company director, Neil Craig is the founder and Chair of investment firm Craigs Investment Partners. Craig is currently the Chair of Comvita Ltd and a Trustee of the Bay Oval Trust. In addition, he has previously been a director of Mighty River Power and the New Zealand Stock Exchange (amongst others).

Ingrid Cronin-Knight

Appointed to NZC Board in 2016

Ingrid Cronin-Knight is a former WHITE FERN with experience in grass-roots cricket governance.  She is currently serving an internship on the Watercare Board.  Ingrid has broad management experience in digital technology, marketing, strategy and change management and is a founding member of Women in Sport Aotearoa (WISPA).  She heads the SME and Accountants business for MYOB in New Zealand.  

Liz Dawson

Appointed to NZC Board in 2013

Liz Dawson is a prominent company director with over 30 years of experience in the governance, management and marketing of business and sports organisations in both New Zealand and Australia. Further, Liz has served on the boards of racing and betting organisations on both sides of the Tasman, acquiring a deep understanding of both. Liz has five years of practical professional sports experience as a ski instructor, in Austria and New Zealand, along with a strong interest across a wide range of sports. She currently sits on the boards of the New Zealand Olympic Committee, St Kilda Football Club in Melbourne, Hurricanes Ltd and is the Chair of Kiwi Insurance Ltd.

Sir Richard Hadlee

Appointed to NZC Board in 2013

One of New Zealand’s best known and most successful international cricketers, Sir Richard Hadlee has significant experience in charity governance and cricket administration, including player selection and work on behalf of the International Cricket Council.

Don Mackinnon

Appointed to NZC Board in 2011

Don Mackinnon is an experienced sports governor. He is a former director of Sport New Zealand and High Performance Sport New Zealand. In addition, he is a former Chair of Netball New Zealand and Director of Auckland Cricket. Mackinnon is a prominent employment solicitor, and managing partner of the firm SBM Legal. He chaired the drafting committee for the new NZC constitution and currently chairs the Board’s Remuneration Committee and High Performance Advisory Group.

Martin Snedden

Appointed to NZC Board in 2013

A former New Zealand player, Martin Snedden brings a wealth of sporting administration expertise. He was the CEO of New Zealand Cricket and then Rugby New Zealand 2011 which delivered Rugby World Cup.
