Gillette Cup

Brought to you in association with Gillette.

In October 2010 New Zealand Cricket will call for entries for the Gillette Cup Competition for 2011. The competition will commence in the first term of 2011 and conclude with a national tournament for six teams in December.

You can download an entry form for this competition above.

The Gillette Cup was set up in 1990 making it one of the longest running competitions in secondary school sport.

The Gillette Cup has become synonymous with secondary school boys cricket and with the development our players for the future. The competition provides schools whose normal sports programmes follow different paths, the opportunity of playing against one another at cricket.

The preliminary rounds in the Gillette Cup are played within the major cricket associations on a knockout basis.

In previous years eight teams participated in the finals tournament to be held over four days in Palmerston North. In 2010 six teams will participate (one from each of the major association's).
