Umpiring and Scoring

This page is currently under construction (Winter 2017).

Umpiring and scoring are critical aspects of the game of cricket, and a great way for family and friends to become involved, or if playing or coaching isn't your thing! This page contains basic information on umpiring and scoring, how to get involved as an umpire or scorer, and links to further information on the New Zealand Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association (NZCUSA) website.

Getting Involved

NZCUSA and Regional Associations

For further information on starting your umpiring or scoring career, please go to the New Zealand Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association (NZCUSA) website, which also contains contact information for the six regional Umpire and Scorer Associations of Auckland, Northern Districts, Central Districts, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago. These regional associations have dedicated Regional Training Officers (RTOs) for umpires and Regional Scoring Managers (RSMs) for scorers, who will discuss training programmes and match opportunities for you to become involved in your local cricket community.
